Follow-Up- Carol wrote an overview of the campaign entitled Running in Circles: 2006 9/11 Truth/Impeachment Congressional Campaign Report From Beginning to End, and Where Next? . She meant to write and thank supporters, and catch up with friends and family, who never received her 2005 Christmas letter, and didn't even know she was running for Congress. She wrote a belated Christmas letter on January 3, 2007, but her demanding life and schedule, might prevent her from ever catching up with her mailing list.

Election Night Party Thank-you to all who voted for Carol, wished her well, sent money, phoned, emailed, prayed... She wrote a small piece- Vote for Impeachment, Vote for 9-11 Truthbefore the election. (Final tally- she received over 2% of the vote, just over 4500 votes).

Carol Brouillet's 5 minute Candidate Statement was aired on Oakland's KICU Channel 36 October 29th at 5 pm & will be aired again on KTVU Channel 2 November 5th at 11 am.

Impeachment Rally/Press Conference was held at Nancy Pelosi's office on Halloween. Carol spoke out in favor of Impeachment and passed the new Unmask State Sponsored Terrorism- Deception Dollars

Carol moderated a special event in Denver and Boulder- Research on 9/11: Why the Official Story Cannot Be True featuring heroes of the 9-11 Truth Movement- Dr. Steven Jones, Kevin Barrett and Kevin Ryan. Here are reports from the Denver Post- 9/11 theorists are either silly or shrewd, A cover story- Backers hail 9/11 theorist's speech, and The Boulder Daily Camera- Panelists raise doubts over 9/11 Speakers at CU say government deceiving citizens.

9-11 Press for Truth Premiered October 27th in Palo Alto. Paul Thompson and Peter Dale Scott spoke, and engaged with the audience after the screening. Carol organized the event with the support of Northern California 9-11 Truth Alliance. Here is a 31 minute video of the Q & A, and a write-up that appeared on The Paly Voice: New film raises questions about 9/11. A cover story appeared in the Stanford Daily entitled 911 call on 9/11 response.

Grassroots: Contesting Ohio, a documentary by Pam Walton, was premiered Oct 21st the film featured Councilman Peter Drekmeier, the Raging Grannies, and many local activists, including Carol Brouillet. (It is a powerful 29 minutes long and will be shown on Free Speech TV). The film was featured in the recent cover story in the Palo Alto Weekly- Lingering questions- Local filmmakers explore concerns about 2004 election.

The 14th Congressional District Candidates Forum was held on Friday, October 6, 2006, in Saratoga and filmed by the local community access station (Sadly, the sound was horrific, so it has not been posted on the internet or give it to Mountain View and Palo Alto Community Access Stations to air. There was no press coverage of the event beyond Saratoga Community Access TV).

On Thursday, October 5, 2006, a March, Rally, All Night Vigil was held in San Francisco organized by World Can't Wait. The Northern California 9-11 Truth Alliance, and Carol were there, despite the rain, in solidarity.

"Meet the Candidates!": Tuesday, October 3, 2006, in Mountain View Many Greens came out to meet the Green Party candidates for State office and local candidates- Carol Brouillet and Tian Harter. We had surprisingly good local television stationTV coverage by Channel 2.

"WAS 9/11 AN INSIDE JOB?": Read about Carol and other 9/11 Truth activists' actions on August 9, 2006, at the premieres of Oliver Stone's film- World Trade Center. Local television stations 2 & 4 covered the Bay Area event and aired interviews with Carol.

STRATEGY FOR THE 9/11 TRUTH MOVEMENT June 3rd, 2006 Plenary Presentation. She and Gary Franchi organized a rally and march for 9/11 Truth in Chicago prior to the 9/11 Revealing the Truth, Reclaiming the Future Conference. The rally and conference were covered by the New York Times and sparked a wave of television and newspaper coverage about the 9/11 Truth Movement.

BUSH PREVENTED FROM SPEAKING AT HOOVER: Read about how courageous Carol and Stanford students prevented Bush from speaking at Stanford University during his recent visit to California.

GREENS BLAST ANTI-IMMIGRANT BILLS: Carol says, "We call on Congress and state legislatures to reject laws that turn people into criminals for seeking a better life for themselves and their families.
Congress should police those in high office who abuse power, rather than attack the most vulnerable members of society who have been underpaid and exploited, and have done the most back-breaking labor to put food on our tables."

IMPEACH THEM, ESHOO, OR STEP ASIDE! (3/28/06): We rallied our forces for truth and justice outside of Anna Eshoo's office in Palo Alto, to present her with the Santa Clara County Green Party Impeachment Resolution. (PDF). Carol wrote and delivered a speech for the occasion.

In Honor of Martin Luther King Jr.'s Birthday
Lytton Plaza, Downtown Palo Alto

Americans and people throughout the world honor the life, words, actions and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr.

The day was also the anniversary of a March upon Congresswoman Anna Eshoo's office in 2002 Demanding a Congressional Investigation of 9/11. In 2003, a subsequent March took place- Demanding an End to the 9/11 Cover-Up, Repeal of the Patriot Act, and the Pre-Emptive Impeachment of Bush. Lytton Plaza is also the site of the weekly Listening For A Change Project, held since October 2001, ( inspired by a Colombian woman's efforts to defuse violence using the most gentle, non-violent means possible- listening.)

Carol announced her decision to run for Congress with a short statement-

Like Martin Luther King, Jr., I have a dream, too. A dream of a world, without war, a dream of a world where resources are not squandered on weapons, a dream of a world where wealth is measured by the health and well being of our relationships, our children, our community, our planet.

Truth is the first casualty of war. The official 9-11 story is a lie. Lies are used to sell unjustifiable wars. The PATRIOT Act was anything, but patriotic, and an attack upon the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, dissent. Congress was terrorized and pressured into passing it quickly.

Congresswoman Eshoo, has supported the lie, and co-sponsored the Intelligence Transformation Act. The expansion of the Intelligence Agencies is the foundation for a global police state.

National Security/Homeland Security/ FEMA provide a false security based on sophisticated weapons, surveillance devices, and control over communications systems. This militarization threatens the Real Security of most people- their health, well being, civil rights. Real Security means water, food, clothing, shelter, medical care, and healthy relationships between people, and between people and planet.

The 'War on Terrorism' is a bogus war, a war of terrorism against all people, a war on truth, a war on freedom.

We need a national dialogue on Impeachment, and the responsibility of the American people and Congress to rein in a criminal regime.

Impeachment, Repeal of the PATRIOT Act, peace, are our best hope for the country, the world. Apathy, Disengagement, Fear and Cynicism are the forces which perpetuate a war economy. Engagement, Empowerment, Hope, Courage, Truth, Humor, Compassion can transform it to serve life.

I have a dream, a dream of a world where Ecological Wisdom prevails. We cannot continue to control, dominate, harvest, and trash resources, the planet, regardless of the future; if we wish to survive. We must learn to live cooperatively with all people, and all species. We must realize how much power each one of us has. In a world of terrible inequities, in a world of intricate interdependencies, we bear much responsibility. The world is in our hands.

As citizens, our greatest duty, to ourselves, to our families, to the world, is to rein in our own government, to hold it accountable for its actions. Regime Change should begin at home. We owe it to those who walked before us, who have given their lives for peace, justice and truth. We have a responsibility to oppose tyranny in all of its forms. While the task may seem daunting, there is a communications revolution underway, we have enormous opportunities to challenge the lies and nurture hope. I hope you will support my decision to run for Congress, to champion Truth, Peace, Justice, and Ecological Wisdom. Together we can do what no one of us can do alone. Please join us."

Goals of
Carol for Congress Campaign

To champion Truth, Peace, Justice, Ecological Wisdom…

in the practical sense-

The Truth is that the Bush Regime is a Criminal Regime that threatens Americans and the world and Americans should Impeach Bush, Cheney… and Repeal The PATRIOT Act.

Peace is possible, if we Stop the Bogus War on Terrorism, including the war on Iraq, the war on dissent and civil rights.

Justice requires that we Redirect Resources from Fake “National Security” towards Real Security – protecting people/life not profits. Weapons to protect the extremely wealthy from the rest of humanity provides “false security for the few,” the war economy needs to be dismantled and resources redirected towards serving human needs and healing, not destroying relationships between people, and between people and planet.

Ecological Wisdom requires recognition that humanity will not survive, if it continues to control, dominate, harvest, and trash resources, regardless of the future; we must Change our Processes to live in Cooperation with other People and Planet, to evolve and thrive.
